Got a sandwich and a sub from here and they were disappointing. The sandwich was missing dressing and the sub just didn't taste like it was supposed to. Got soup and that was good.

Great Sandwiches and at a good price! I always go with the Turkey Club sandwich. I don't even need any sides, they give very generous portions. In addition to the sandwiches, it's just a great little market for picking up some meats and other random supplies you'd need for a cookout. I just wish they were open a little later, because I would pickup food for dinner then too.

A real find! Recently moved here and was scouting Yelp for a butcher shop. Since there is really only one source of meat in this area decided I wanted to try something independent. Odd, Yelp doesn't provide any results for butcher but search meat and Canaveral Meats comes up. Had no idea what to expect. What a nice surprise. This is a mini grocery store; the space used to be 7 Eleven. It's primarily the butcher shop and the deli. Prices are very reasonable. For example a filet goes for around $16. Now this isn't a filet that's in package. The filets are cut to order. Even though there's packaged meat, don't hesitate to ask for a cut. The butcher is always there. The deli is like stepping back in time. The prices are so low. The reviews that comment about grabbing some fast food compared to the deli at Canaveral Meat are so right. You can get a tasty sandwich, chips and drink for less than a "meal" at the other places. It's one thing to have a quality product for a reasonable price but the real treat of this business are the people. First, there is plenty of help. If you even look like you have a question, someone is there saying hello. On my first visit, I said I was just looking and wanted to get a feel for the place. After looking around for awhile, decided to order a sandwich to take home. Got a very chicken club for under $5. While I waited got into a conversation with some of the staff and customers. This is really a neighborhood business that is so welcoming and just feels good. It all comes down to the people who are part of the business; they are so nice and helpful. One just feels good after they've been in Canaveral Meats and Deli!!

MY fav deli and meat shop by far! I will not buy any meats from grocery stores anymore nor will I buy subs from anywhere else! Their subs are meat filled, tasty and they will not break the bank at all!! The meat packages they sell are a steal and the meat quality is out standing! I love the staff whom always remembers me and makes me laugh!! Other markets and sub places could really learn a thing or two from this place!!! Since my first review, I've been hitting CM&D for lunches once or twice a month. My first review was about the placing being a store. This is the closest place to a true deli Cocoa Beach or Cape Canaveral has. Good sandwiches, great prices, deli selections of salads including pasta and potato, hot and cold sandwiches and soup. My favorite is the Turkey club, toasted. For about $3.50 you get the best sandwich around. But I've had all of their sandwiches and they are all great. This is a take-out place, but heck, buy a sandwich and go to Cheri Down Park on the beach and enjoy it. Best budget lunch in Cape Canaveral. Why would ANYONE buy a sandwich from McDonalds, Wendy's or Burger King when they can come here for a sandwich for less...that actually tastes like food? Yes, we have all 3 of these on A1A, so if you are Yelping this on your cell phone, try Canaveral Meats instead, less cost and MUCH better food. Unless you want a kids' meal full of garbage. Then you are on your own.

Fresher meats and better prices than Publix. Have many, many packages that can be called in for convenience. I will start buying my meats from here always. I am tired of getting Publix ground beef only to discover they wrapped a small amount of fresh meat around old meat just to sell. The chicken is "dark orange" color at Publix, it looks gross. Hayes Meats had brown (2 or 3 days old) all over thier meats. Canaveral Meats has my business from now on- I don't think it gets any fresher than this.
